Fun for Families with Food Allergies & Asthma
|
Find it difficult to find safe, food-free fun for yourself or your food allergic children? Do you want to hang out with some people who understand why your contact or inhalation allergic child can't hang around in the food court or with kids who are wearing their lunches? Have to bow out anytime you are invited to a home that houses cats or dogs? Feel like all the food allergy events require you to find a sitter? Well, this meetup is for the kids and the grown-ups. My goal is to plan fun, foodless activities where the kids can play and the parents can relax a little without worrying their toddler will grab someone's milk or their nine year old will get hives from someone's peanut-butter coated table. I am trying this out to see how successful it is and then hope to share some of the responsibilities for leading the meetup to other members if the group is a success.
